I can't recall when was the last time I drove thru for fast food. It hurts my brain to think of deep fry oils they use in restaurants, what goes in it and how many times it's been reused, the high calories and trans fat, gross. Of course there's a smarter and healthier way to make fries, um.. make your own.
Cut the potatoes in long strips (peel them or leave the skin on for a rustic texture), here I've added sea salt, black pepper, olive oil and my favorite spice in the whole world "Jamaican Jerk". Make sure they are well coated and bake for 25-30 minutes in a 400F oven.

Since the oven was on, I roasted another sheet of sweet potatoes. I only
used olive oil, sea salt, black pepper and sage. Sweet caramelized potatoes and sage
are incredible combos, you absolutely have to give it a try.
This is the perfect recipe. I love homemade fries and my girl goes crazy for anything Sweet Potato. I can't wait to actually try these recipes out! Thanks for posting!
